Stay Your Black Ass At Home
For grown-folk who've done the work and deserve a nap.
Someone told me there’s a protest;
Black people this isn’t your zone.
This isn’t your mess, so I won’t say less
Than stay your Black ass at home.
You voted for the smart Black woman,
You canvased by door and by phone:
You all did your part, now baby, be smart
And stay your fine ass at home.
You’re part of the ninety two percent
Or seventy eight if you’re grown
Who didn’t need telling: DON’T VOTE FOR A FELON
You done did your part now stay home.
You knew not to vote for the fascist;
It wasn’t in your chromosomes
Ancestors have spoken, you’re nobody’s token!
Stop fucking around and stay home!
Protecting your peace is a virtue,
Keep send those reels from your phone.
Of Black people chilling; we ain’t even illing
We’re where we belong: At home!
Just fifteen percent of the nation,
To whom all who claim rights a debt own.
It isn’t a mystery; just study Black history
You know where we’ll be? At home.
This moron is trying to provoke you.
So leave well enough alone.
While ICE roams the streets, stay betwixt the sheets
Warm well fed and rested at home.
Black people, take comfort and solace,
Your struggle for freedom is known.
This isn’t your problem: LET WHITE PEOPLE SOLVE HIM
You know where I’ll be: IN MY HOME
And to any white people listening:
You got this! And you’re not alone.
Rise up against fascists, because you’re not racists!
We’re rooting for you from our homes.

Rest well.
